About Polytechnic Institute of New York University

Polytechnic Institute of New York University, also known as Polytechnic Institute of NYU, NYU Polytechnic, or NYU-Poly, is a private university in Brooklyn, New York City's most populous borough, and 2nd largest in area, housing within its limits 2 and half million people.


NYU-Poly was established in 1854 and is the second oldest private institute of technology in the United States. The university offers its students educational programs, in various areas of study, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, through the following departments: Applied Physics, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Chemical and Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Finance and Risk Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Technology Management.


Athletics
